Abstract
Turizmde rekabet edebilmek nitelikli insan gücü ile mümkündür. Bu da kaliteli turizm eğitim ve öğretimiyle gerçekleştirilebilir. Türkiye'de Anadolu otelcilik ve turizm meslek liseleri, ülkedeki turizm eğitim sistemi içerisinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, bünyesinde turizm bölümlerini (yiyecek-içecek ve konaklama-seyahat) barındıran mesleki ve teknik Anadolu lisesi öğrencilerinin beceri eğitimleri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla söz konusu okullarda öğrenim görmekte olan öğrencilere anket uygulanmış ve ortaya konulan araştırma hipotezleri istatistiksel olarak test edilmiştir.
Öğrencilerin staj yapması mesleki becerilerini geliştirmesi için çok önemli olmakla birlikte stajın uygulanmasında bazı sorunların yaşandığı çalışma sonucunda görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin, mesai saatleri dışında da çalışmaya zorlanması, görev tanımının dışında öğrencilere görev verilmeye çalışılması ve iş yerindeki sorumlunun ilgisizliği olumsuz durumların iş yerlerinde yaşanabildiği öğrenci sonuçlarında görüşmüştür. Öğrencilerin sıklıkla ifade ettiği bir diğer sorun ise, okul yönetimlerinin işyerlerindeki staj faaliyetlerini yeterli sıklıkla denetlememesi ve yeteri sayıda koordinatör öğretmenin öğrenci iş yerlerine gelmemesidir.
Öğrencilerin karşı karşıya kaldığı sorunların çözümü için, okul yönetimlerince staj faaliyetlerinin sık sık denetlenmesi, turizm bakanlığının da bu denetimlerde faal görev alması, stajda başarılı öğrencilerin işe alınması gibi uygulamaların hayata geçirilmesi gerekmektedir.

Abstract
Competitiveness in tourism is possible with qualified manpower. This can be achieved through quality tourism education and training. In Turkey, Anatolian hotel management and tourism vocational high schools have an important place in the tourism education system. In this study, the skill trainings of the students of vocational and technical Anatolian high schools that include tourism departments (food- beverage and hospitality-travel) was examined. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to the students studying in these schools and the research hypotheses were statistically tested.
Although it is very important for students to do internship to improve their professional skills, it was seen as a result of the study that there were some problems in the implementation of the internship. Negative situations such as forcing students to work outside of working hours, trying to assign tasks to students outside of the job description and the lack of interest of the responsible person in the workplace were seen in the results of the students. Another problem frequently mentioned by students is that school administrations do not supervise internship activities at workplaces frequently enough and that enough coordinator teachers do not come to students’ workplaces.
In order to solve the problems faced by the students, practices such as frequent supervision of internship activities by school administrations, active participation of the Ministry of Tourism in these inspections, and hiring successful students in internships should be implemented.
