Abstract
Bu çalışma, eğitim politikalarındaki çevre eğitimi ve sürdürülebilirlik kavramlarının birbirleriyle ilişkisini ele alarak, bu iki önemli alanın entegrasyonunun toplumsal ve çevresel etkilerini detaylı bir şekilde incelemektedir. Çevre eğitimi ve sürdürülebilirlik, eğitim politikalarına başarılı bir şekilde entegre edildiğinde, bireylerin çevresel sorumluluklarını daha iyi anlamalarını, sürdürülebilir yaşam becerilerini kazanmalarını ve çevre bilincini daha etkili bir şekilde geliştirmelerini hedefler. Çevre eğitimi, bireylere çevresel konularda bilgi sağlamanın ötesinde, eleştirel düşünme yetenekleri kazandırmayı, sürdürülebilir yaşamı teşvik etmeyi ve çevresel sorunlara yönelik çözümler üretebilmeyi amaçlar. Sürdürülebilirlik ise ekolojik, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutları içeren bütünlükçü bir perspektife sahiptir. Bu entegrasyonun önemli bir yararı, toplumların çevresel sorunlara karşı duyarlılık düzeyini artırması ve sürdürülebilir bir geleceğe doğru adım atmasıdır. Bu bağlamda, eğitim politikalarının çevre eğitimi ve sürdürülebilirlik ilkelerini benimsemesi, gelecek nesillerin daha bilinçli, sorumluluk sahibi ve çevre odaklı bireyler olmalarına katkı sağlayabilir. Çevre eğitimi ve sürdürülebilirlik entegrasyonu, toplumun genelinde çevresel değerlerin benimsenmesini destekleyerek, sürdürülebilir bir yaşam tarzının yaygınlaşmasına zemin hazırlar. Bu nedenle, eğitim politikalarındaki bu entegrasyon, çevresel sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine ulaşmada önemli bir adım olarak öne çıkmaktadır

Abstract
This study examines the interrelationship between environmental education and sustainability in education policies and analyzes the social and environmental impacts of the integration of these two important areas in detail. Environmental education and sustainability, when successfully integrated into educational policies, aim to enable individuals to better understand their environmental responsibilities, acquire sustainable living skills and develop environmental awareness more effectively. Beyond providing individuals with knowledge on environmental issues, environmental education aims to provide critical thinking skills, promote sustainable living and generate solutions to environmental problems. Sustainability has a holistic perspective that includes ecological, economic and social dimensions. An important benefit of this integration is that it increases the level of sensitivity of societies towards environmental problems and steps towards a sustainable future. In this context, the adoption of environmental education and sustainability principles in educational policies can contribute to future generations becoming more conscious, responsible and environmentally oriented individuals. The integration of environmental education and sustainability supports the adoption of environmental values in society at large and paves the way for the spread of a sustainable lifestyle. Therefore, this integration in education policies stands out as an important step in achieving environmental sustainability goals
