Abstract
Bu makale, öğretmen eğitimindeki güncel gelişmeleri, ihtiyaçları ve sürdürülebilirlik stratejilerini ele alarak eğitim sistemlerinin karmaşıklığına uyum sağlama zorunluluğunu vurgulamaktadır. Öğretmen eğitiminin önemi, toplumların eğitim seviyelerini yükseltme, bilgi ve beceri düzeyini artırma ve sürdürülebilir bir gelecek için bireyleri hazırlama misyonunu içermektedir. Makale, güncel eğitim trendlerini, dijital dönüşümü, aktif öğrenme yaklaşımlarını ve yenilikçi metotları incelerken, öğretmenlerin çağın gereksinimlerine uygun becerilere sahip olmalarını desteklemenin önemine vurgu yapmaktadır. Ayrıca, öğretmen yeterliklerinin güncellenmesi, dijital yetkinlik, çok kültürlü eğitim ve öğretmenler arası iş birliği gibi alanlara odaklanarak öğretmenlerin sürekli gelişimini vurgulamaktadır. Sürdürülebilirlik stratejileri, çevresel, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutları içerirken, öğretmenlerin çevresel sorumlulukları, ekonomik kaynak yönetimi ve toplumsal sorumluluk bilinciyle öğrencilere rehberlik etmelerine vurgu yapmaktadır. Bu şekilde, öğretmenlerin sadece bireylerin eğitimine katkıda bulunmakla kalmayıp, aynı zamanda sürdürülebilir bir toplumun inşasına da katkıda bulunabileceği önemli bir noktaya değinmektedir

This paper addresses current developments, needs and sustainability strategies in teacher education, emphasizing the imperative to adapt to the complexity of education systems. The importance of teacher education includes the mission of societies to raise educational levels, increase knowledge and skills, and prepare individuals for a sustainable future. The article examines current educational trends, digital transformation, active learning approaches and innovative methods, and emphasizes the importance of supporting teachers to have the appropriate skills for the needs of the age. It also emphasizes the continuous development of teachers, focusing on areas such as updating teacher competencies, digital competence, multicultural education and collaboration between teachers. Sustainability strategies include environmental, economic and social dimensions, emphasizing teachers' environmental responsibility, economic resource management and social responsibility to guide students. In this way, it makes the important point that teachers can contribute not only to the education of individuals, but also to the building of a sustainable society
