Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı yeni göreve başlayan öğretmenlerin mesleğini seçme nedenlerini öğretmenlerin bakış açısından incelemektir. Nitel araştırma yöntemi ve durum çalışması deseninde kurgulanan araştırmaya toplam 13 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarının belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt ve kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmış ve betimsel analiz tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları ilgili alanyazınla ilişkili bir biçimde tartışılmış ve bazı öneriler sunulmuştur.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the reasons why new teachers choose their profession from the perspective of teachers. A total of 13 teachers participated in the research, which was designed in qualitative research method and case study design. Criterion and convenience sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, were used to determine the participants of the study. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher and analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. The results of the research are discussed in relation to the related literature and some suggestions are presented.
