Abstract
Sanat ve yaratıcılık, okul öncesi dönemde çocukların bilişsel, duygusal ve sosyal gelişimlerine önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Sanat eğitimi, çocukların problem çözme, eleştirel düşünme ve kendini ifade etme becerilerini geliştirmekte, aynı zamanda özgüvenlerini artırmaktadır. Sanat yoluyla öğrenme süreçleri desteklenmekte, çocukların hayal gücü teşvik edilmekte ve estetik duyarlılıkları gelişmektedir. Ancak, geleneksel eğitim anlayışı, fiziksel ve maddi kısıtlamalar ile eğitimcilerin sanata bakış açısı gibi faktörler, sanat eğitiminin etkin bir şekilde uygulanmasını engellemektedir. Bu çalışmada, okul öncesi eğitimde sanatın rolü, yaratıcılığın gelişimi ve sanatı destekleyen eğitsel yaklaşımlar ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca, sanatın çocuklara kazandırdığı beceriler ve karşılaşılan engeller analiz edilerek, sanat eğitiminin daha etkili bir şekilde uygulanabilmesi için öneriler sunulmuştur. Müfredatın sanat odaklı hale getirilmesi, eğitimcilerin sanat eğitimi konusunda bilinçlendirilmesi, ailelerin sürece dâhil edilmesi ve sanat eğitiminin teknoloji ile desteklenmesi, sanatın okul öncesi dönemde daha güçlü bir şekilde benimsenmesini sağlayacaktır.

Abstract
Art and creativity make important contributions to the cognitive, emotional and social development of preschool children. Art education improves children's problem solving, critical thinking and self-expression skills, as well as increasing their self-confidence. Learning processes are supported through art, children's imagination is encouraged and their aesthetic sensitivity develops. However, factors such as traditional education approach, physical and material constraints, and educators' perspectives on art prevent the effective implementation of art education. In this study, the role of art in preschool education, the development of creativity and educational approaches that support art are discussed. In addition, the skills that art provides to children and the obstacles encountered are analyzed and suggestions are presented for a more effective implementation of art education. Making the curriculum art-oriented, raising awareness of educators about art education, involving families in the process and supporting art education with technology will ensure a stronger adoption of art in preschool period.
